The first CYAN Visual Culture Festival took place on November 24th and 25th, 2024 in Split, under the organization of Design Hub Split. The festival, focused on exploring the concept of "Possibility," brought together a number of renowned creatives who shared their experiences and insights into the impact of various life and professional circumstances on their work.
One of the notable speakers was Saša Begović, who held a lecture titled "The Art of the Possible" on Saturday, November 25th. In his presentation, he reflected on how the boundaries of creativity can be pushed despite challenges, emphasizing the importance of adaptability, perseverance, and innovation in creative professions.
Throughout the festival, participants explored how opportunities presented to them—whether through upbringing, education, environment, or professional circumstances—shaped their paths. Discussions also covered the obstacles that directed and motivated them, as well as how they successfully overcame them.
The CYAN Festival successfully provided a space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among creatives, inspiring visitors to reflect on their own possibilities within both professional and personal narratives. The first edition of the festival proved to be a valuable contribution to the development of visual culture, with organizers already announcing future editions with an even richer program.
