Marko Dabrović, partner at 3LHD, participated as a panelist at the conference “Playing by the Rules: Technical Compliance and Financing Opportunities in Sports Facility Construction”. The conference was held on November 10, 2025, at the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Zagreb, organized by the Croatian Olympic Committee and the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
The conference brought together experts from the fields of sports, architecture, construction, and public administration, with the goal of encouraging dialogue on the development of modern and sustainable sports infrastructure in Croatia.
Marko took part in the panel “User Perspective: From Local Experiences to International Expectations”, where he emphasized the importance of a user-centered approach in the design and construction of sports facilities, from local needs to international standards. He highlighted that sports venues must be able to meet the standards of international sports federations and “live 365 days a year,” remaining open to the community and sustainable in the long term, both financially and functionally.
The conference opened an important discussion on the future of Croatian sports infrastructure, from regulatory alignment to creating spaces that support sports and community life, and that are ready to meet international challenges.
