European Conference on Architectural Policies REUSE ARCHITECTURE

The central theme of the European Conference on Architectural Policies REUSE ARCHITECTURE will be sustainable urban development and urban renewal focused on various aspects of the use or reuse of urban fabric. The conference will be held on 22 and 23 April, as an online event live-streamed from cinema Urania, an awarded example of REUSE architecture.
The project of urban revitalization of the former Gredelj railway factory, located between Zagreb's main railway and bus station in the city center, will be presented on the conference. Issues of reconstruction and revitalization, activation of degraded, and abandoned areas, reuse of neglected zones or individual buildings and their circular management will also be discussed.
The organizer is the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets, Directorate for Spatial development, in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Architects. The conference is intended for architects and spatial planners, policy makers at all levels, other interested experts and the general public.
