It is competing for the prize with 4 other commercial projects in the category &quot;Commercial - Hotels &amp; Resorts&quot;. Another 3LHD project, Zamet Centre won the special mention jury award in its category &quot;Sports &amp; Recreation Centers&quot;. The award ceremony will be held in New York in May, when, among the winners in the individual categories, winners of the A+ Popular Choice Award selected by more than one million users and fans of Architizer will be declared. The award ceremony for the trophy and for the best sportsmen in Croatia was held on the Day of Croatian sport on December 27th 2012 in the presence of high guests and many top athletes. <br /></p>]]></description><guid><![CDATA[http://www.3lhd.com/en/news/]]></guid></item><item><title><![CDATA[Continuity of Modernity exhibition opening in Podgorica]]></title><pubDate>Mon, 10 Dec 2012 07:18:54 +0100</pubDate><link><![CDATA[http://www.3lhd.com/en/news/]]></link><description><![CDATA[<p>The exhibition &quot;Continuity of modernity, fragments of Croatian architecture from modernity to 2010&quot; opened on December 10th in Podgorica, in the lobby of the cultural centre &quot;Budo Tomovic&quot; in 7PM. The exhibition was opened by one of the authors Andrija Rusan. Presentation in Podgorica was helped by the Croatian Embassy, and will remain open until December 24th. 3LHD is a part of the exhibition with Vila Klara, Memorial Bridge, Sports Hall Bale and Zamet Centre. This traveling exhibition premiered in Vienna in 2007, and since then has visited a dozen cities in the region and in Europe. It is complemented by new achievements of Croatian architects every two years. According to the opinion of Dražen Juračić: &quot;Hotel Lone is a refined, expressive and skillfully designed hotel complex facility for vacation and relaxation?. Among the 295 submitted projects 10 were selected that have been awarded for promoting values that are updated by the crisis, achieve the most results with the least resources. The exhibition will remain open until December 16th in the Forum Gallery.<br /></p>

The prize is awarded by one of the most influential magazines dedicated to hotels - The Sleeper Magazine, and the jury members are representatives with experience in the hotel industry. International Hotel Awards is a program that rewards excellence in the global tourism industry. The jury is composed of independent judges, who are selected for their expertise in various disciplines related to the design, development and marketing. The program awards the quality of design, construction and presentation of individual property, interiors and architecture. <br /></p>]]></description><guid><![CDATA[http://www.3lhd.com/en/news/]]></guid></item><item><title><![CDATA[Hotel Lone nominated for European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award 2013]]></title><pubDate>Tue, 30 Oct 2012 12:09:32 +0100</pubDate><link><![CDATA[http://www.3lhd.com/en/news/]]></link><description><![CDATA[<p>Hotel Lone was nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award 2013. Candidates for the Prize are nominated by a broad group of independent experts from all over Europe; the associations that are members of the Architects' Council of Europe (ACE), as well as other national architects associations; and the institutions that form part of the Advisory Committee for the Prize. At each biennial edition, the jury selects two works: one that receives the Prize and the other the Emerging Architect Special Mention, both in recognition of their conceptual, technical and constructional qualities. The jury also selects a set of shortlisted works to be included in the catalogue publication and travelling exhibition. Launched in 1987, this Prize is co-funded by the EU Culture Programme and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe. Oris award for outstanding creative contributions to architecture will be awarded to 3LHD for their project Hotel Lone. The two-day series of lectures will present some of the most important architects of our time: Helen &amp; Hard (Norway), Antón García - Abril (Spain), Odile Decq (France), Saša Bradić (Croatia), Anttinen Oiva Arkkitehdit Oy (Finland), Dominique Perrault (France), Bearth &amp; Deplazes (Switzerland), Sou Fujimoto (Japan), Karim Rashid (USA), Jeff Bickert (Slovenia), Martha Thorne (Spain) and Marijan Hržić (Croatia).</p>

At the gala ceremony in the National Theatre in Zagreb on June 25th 
2012, on the occasion of Statehood Day of the Republic of Croatia, 
Croatian President dr.sc. Ivo Josipović presented decorations and awards
 to meritorious organizations and individuals for special merits and 
contribution to the scientific, cultural, economic and other development
 of Republic of Croatia. 3LHD was awarded the Charter of the Republic 
of Croatia for exceptional and successful promotion of contemporary 
architecture in Croatia and abroad. In behalf of 3LHD architects the 
award received Sasa Begovic, Tatjana Grozdanić Begovic, Marko Dabrović 
and Silvije Novak.
